New Delhi, Oct 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) high command is gearing up to pressurise the Congress-led UPA government into sacking the Karnataka Governor, HR Bharadwaj, for plunging the state into a constitutional crisis.

A delegation of BJP leaders, led by veteran party leader LK Advani, will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to seek Bharadwaj's removal.

Bharadwaj has invited the ire of the saffron party for interfering with the Speaker's duties and decisions, for criticising the BS Yeddyurappa-led BJP government in Karnataka publicly, for recommending President's Rule within hours of the Monday, Oct 11 trust vote and later giving a second chance to the Chief Minister to prove majority again on Thursday, Oct 14.

While the BJP is busy trying to hold Bharadwaj solely responsible for the Karnataka mess, there are several questioned raised on the role of the Speaker KG Bopaiah, who disqualified 16 rebel MLAs just hours ahead of the trust vote practically paving way for success to BSY government in the controversial Oct 11 floor test.
