New Delhi, Oct 12: Infiltration efforts across the Line of Control in Jammu Kashmir has moved up in recent months, although the Indian Army has been winning in controlling it to some extent, V K Singh, Army Chief General, said on Oct 11.

Addressing a function, Gen Singh said, tries of infiltration has seen a surge in the last 2 months, amid reports of Syed Salahuddin, Hizbul Mujahideen chief, visiting training camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

"Indian Army's strategy is to shoot down anyone who infiltrated near the boundaries, and Salahuddin is on the other side. We are not worried about wherever he roams," Gen Singh added.

"We are not concerned about with whom Salahuddin is wandering around, but if they try to infiltrate across the Line of Control, then they will also be killed like his other fellowmen," he cautioned.

In the last two months the Indian security forces has foiled nearly 20-25 infiltration attempts and killed nearly 40 militants.
