This New York event is considered as the crucial for Microsoft as it is facing huge decrease in the shares of global handset market. Microsoft Windows Phone 7 aims at big players of the handset market, Apple's iOS and Google Android.
Windows Phone 7 is expected to have exciting features which will outcast Apple iOS and other popular mobile OS. The features like Quick Launch screen, Peoples Hub, Picture Hub etc will boost the acceptability among geeky youths.
Windows Phone not only aims the youths, but also business men. The Office Hub feature will helps the users to sync office and personal documents between the phone and computers and other devices. Most of the market analysts described the New York event as a 'Do-or-Die' game for Microsoft. According to a research conducted by Gartner, Microsoft share of the global smartphone market has decreased from 9 percent (2009)to 5 percent in 2010. At the same time Google's Android's share increased from 2 percent to 17 percent during the same period.
