12 pc jobs quota for Telangana Muslims: Rao

Hyderabad, Oct 11: “No one can stop the formation of Telangana and when Telangana becomes a state, Muslims will have 12 percent quota in jobs," said, K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief, on Sunday, Oct 9.

Addressing to a group of Muslim leaders, Rao said, "a Muslim will be deputy chief minister of Telangana and there will be 4 to 5 Muslim ministers, which is their right."

“Perfect harmony will be there among Hindus and Muslims in Telangana. Even from the rule of Quli Qutub Shah to the seventh Nizam, there was a perfect secular culture, and even Gandhiji praised the way Hindus and Muslim lived here. This is the beauty of Telangana," he added.

"In the new state, adequate funds will be allocated for the welfare of Muslims and every inch of Waqf land will also be protected," Rao said.

“After the Sri Krishna Committee submits its report this year, we will fight through peaceful non-cooperation movement for the formation of Telangana," he added.
