Kolkata: Bomb hoax at Wipro office

Kolkata, Oct 9: The IT giant Wipro in Kolkata has been evacuated after it received a bomb threat call on Saturday, Oct 9.

An anonymous caller contacted the Wipro office in the morning and warned that a bomb had been planted in the complex located in Sector V of Salt Lake of the city.

After getting the threatening call, panic gripped the office.

However, bomb squad of the police department was rushed in with sniffer dogs but nothing was found.

The call was suspected to have been made from within the complex as there was no record of any caller in the system, police sources informed.
