Another school shooting in US, 2 kids injured
According to the LA Times, the shooter, dressed in all black, pulled up in a car outside the playground and opened fire at around noon. A construction worker took the shooter down before the shooting turned into a blood bath.
Two children sustained minor injuries in the incident. The injured are recovering in Rady Children's Hospital.
Police said that the shooter fired at least 5 shots and suspect that the .357 magnum handgun recovered from the spot could be the weapon used in the shooting.
The gunman, believed to be a teenager, reportedly had a box of bullets in his pants and a 5-gallon gas can with him.
The gunman has been arrested and investigations are on.
The incidents of school shootings in US are on a steady rise. The last one being reported on last Friday, Oct 1, when a 15-year-old boy was shot as he walked onto a high school campus (Alisal High School, Salinas, California). He later succumbed to his injuries.
