US: Pak-born Shahzad gets life imprisonment

New York, Oct 6: Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistan born US citizen, who was found guilty in bomb blast attempt in New York's busy Times Square case, received lifetime imprisonment on Oct 5.

Shahzad was sentenced in Manhattan federal court of US to life with no chance for parole.

Shahzad, a former budget analyst who worked for a marketing firm in Connecticut, admitted that he was trained by the Pakistani terror group, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Shahzad pleaded guilty to 10 charges, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted terrorism transcending national borders.
