Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants killed in Kashmir
Jammu, Oct 6 (ANI): The security forces gunned down two Hizbul Mujahideen militants including a self-styled divisional commander of the outfit during an encounter in Mahore area of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi District last night.
Acting on a tip-off the police and 126 Battalion of CRPF had launched a joint operation in the Deedan Gali in Mahore, about 150 km north of Jammu.
The militants were asked to surrender, but they opened fire on security personnel who retaliated in which the two ultras were killed.
The slain militants have been identified as Mustaq Ahmad alias Irfan and Shabir Ahmad alias Hamza.
Mushtaq was active since 1999 and was functioning as Divisional commander of the outfit. (ANI)
