Prince Charles dances to Jodhpuri folk music

Prince Charles
Jodhpur, Oct 6: Visiting British royalty Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles ended their hectic tour of India with a folk dance here.

Prince Charles was spotted dancing with folk artistes on Tuesday, Oct 6 to the tune of authentic Jodhpuri music before departing to London.

The Prince, who was wearing his usual suit along with sun glasses, had vermillion on his forehead. His attire contrasted the vivid colours of Rajasthan as he held a colourful umbrella as a prop to his dance. He was surrounded by folk artists all dressed in white while the rest of his team watched on from a distance.

The Prince and his wife were given a grand welcome by Gaj Singh, erstwhile ruler of Jodhpur, his wife Hemlata Raje and his daughter Shivranjani.

The royal couple spend the day meeting army officials and also learnt about water harvesting and conservation in a village near here.

The couple reportedly departed from here to London at 8:20 pm.
