Maoists, police clash in AP, no casualty

Hyderabad, Oct 6: Once again Maoists and police exchanged some rounds of fire in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, Oct 6, though no casualties have been reported yet.

Maoists initiated firing at the police when a special force were investigating in the forest near Gundlamadugu village of Andhra Pradesh.

Leaving literature, cooking vessels and some kitbags, the ultras flew away from the area, informed a police source.

From the evidences that the Maoists left behind, it was suspected that 20 to 25 Naxals had gathered in the area, the police official added.
