Lalu Prasad begins campaign for Bihar elections

Lalu Prasad
Patna, Oct 6: Ahead of Bihar elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday, Oct 6 started his election campaign from the Kosi belt, which includes areas like Madhepura and Saharsa.

Sources said on Tuesday, Oct 5 Lalu retaliated the NDA for castigating his decision to field his wife Rabri Devi in the upcoming state elections. He challenged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy S K Modi saying,

"You claim that we have lost confidence...If you are confident, I dare both of you (Kumar and Modi) to contest from Raghopur and Sonepur Assembly constituencies against Rabri to test your popularity,"

In support of his wife, Lalu said Rabri would file nominations from the two constituencies on Oct 9.
