Cong wants negotiation in Ayodhya dispute

"Congress will support any initiative which is taken to resolve Ayodhya issue through negotiation," said the party spokesperson, Janardhan Dwivedi.
Showing respect to Allahabad High Court's verdict on Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, Dwivedi stated, "we must wait for the final decision of the Supreme Court as and when the appeal is filed."
His statement added, "Congress wants the dispute to be solved."
However, reminding Home Minister, P Chidambaram's remark on the verdict, Dwivedi also asserted, "It is important to underline this (verdict) does not justify the Babri demolition which was a criminal act for which responsible should be brought to justice."
