PM Manmohan Singh meets Governor General of New Zealand, Maldives President

New Delhi, Oct.4 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met the Governor General of New Zealand, Anand Satyanand, here today.

Satyanand, whose five-year term of office ends next year, is of Indian origin.

Dr. Singh later met Maldives President Mohammed Nasheed.

Nasheed is also the founder of the Maldivian Democratic Party and was its Presidential candidate in the October 2008 Presidential election.

Principal Secretary T. K. Nair National Security Advisor (NSA) Shivshankar Menon and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao were also present at the meeting with Nasheed. (ANI)
