Now special coach for women in Delhi metro

New Delhi, Oct 3: On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, the Delhi Metro gifted Delhi Women with a special coach being reserved for them from Saturday, Oct 2.

The reserved ladies' coach will be the first after the driver's cab. Children up to 12 years, accompanied by women passengers, will also be allowed to travel in the reserved coach.

On Saturday, Oct 2, being the first day, many people were not aware about the move, but there were personnel at various stations to guide them.

"It was nice to have a special coach for women. It is really good. We can hope to have a much more comfortable ride on the Metro," Sakshi, a software professional said.

With this, Delhi Metro will became the second Metro in the world to reserve special coaches for women after the Dubai new age transport system.
