Babri litigants meet to settle case out-of-court

Ayodhya, Oct 3: After the historical Ayodhya verdict by Allahabad High Court, meetings for 'out-of-court compromise' started in Ayodhya. On Sunday, Oct 3 litigants in the Babri title dispute met to discuss the situations and possibilities of compromise.

CNN-IBN reported that litigants in the title suit Nirmohi Akahara leaders met the Muslim leaders. Nirmohi Akahara's chief Mahant Gyan Das has met Hashim Ansari and discussed the possibilities to settle the issue locally.

Hashim Ansari has the opinion to settle the issue out of court before going to Supreme Court. Some of the Muslim leaders and groups in Ayodhya also have the same opinion. Media reported that possibilities of out-of-court settlement is still there to finish the 61-year-old title dispute.

On Thursday, Sep 30 the three-member Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court announced the verdict that to divide the disputed land into three, 1/3 to Babri committee, 1/3 to Nirmohi Akhara and the remaining 1/3 to Ram Janma Stan.
