Terrorists destroy NATO LPG tankers in Karachi

Karachi, Oct 1: A group of unidentified terrorists attacked and destroyed 15 NATO oil tankers parked at a petrol pump in Shikarpur town of Sindh province, Karachi on Thursday, Sep 30.

Confirming the attack, District Coordination Officer (DCO) of Shikarpur said “unknown terrorists, in dozens, have attacked the NATO containers carrying oil with rockets. Some 15 to 20 containers were destroyed in the attack and the fire is still blazing and we are trying to put it off."

“The situation is under our control although there is still exchange of fire was going on between police and some terrorists who have been holed up," Ahmed said.

Police said that the attack took place in the late night as the containers were parked at a petrol pump and were filling up for their onward journey to Quetta.
