K'taka minister's son held for corruption

Minister for IT and the Bangalore Water Board, Katta Subramanya Naidu's son was held by the Lokayukta for corruption, on Thursday, Sep 30.
Katta Jagadish, was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act in a Rs 100 crore land scam. He was allegedly trying to buy over a crucial witness in the case.
The Lokayukta were investigating how Katta had claimed about Rs 4 crore as compensation for a land he sold to the Karnataka Industrial Board, though he was not the owner of the land.
He was arrested after he allegedly tried to buy over a crucial witness in the case, who had evidence against him.
Katta Jagadish, was elected as a BJP corporator in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Feb 2010.
