Ayodhya verdict: Calm prevails, security to remain

Ayodhya/New Delhi, Oct 1: Even though weeks of anxiety has come to an end with the delivery of the Ayodhya verdict, the nation continues to be under heavy vigil of the security forces.

The Allahabad High Court verdict came out on Thursday, Sep 30 evening, following which there was no untoward incident reported. The country remained calm amid tight security.

With thousands of potential trouble makers and anti-social elements already in preventive custody there was no reports of any celebrations or protests from anywhere across India.

The layers of security cover is expected to remain in place, especially in the sensitive areas, for a few more days.
