WB beefs up security ahead of Ayodhya verdict

Kolkata, Sep 30: Security of West Bengal has been tightened up just ahead of Ayodhya verdict on Sep 30 to avert any kind of violence in the state after the judgment of much disputed Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land suit.

Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee also appealed the state people to maintain peace after verdict, which would be pronounced by Allahabad High Court on Sep 30 at 3 pm.

Bhattacharjee stated, "Our state has always shown a lot of political maturity. Even when undesirable incidents have happened in the rest of the country, our state has remained peaceful."

His statement continued, "I ask all well-meaning people to come forward and ensure the same peace and discipline is maintained on Sep 30."

Government official informed, "The police are in touch with important and influential people of different religions in all localities."
