Nokia starts shipping of smartphone N8

The much awaited flagship smartphone N8 made ready to launch after a series of postpones. Nokia announced that it will release N8 in May 2010. But later it was postponed to Jun 2010 and again shifted to Sep 2010. Later on Sep 21, Nokia announced the delay of the launch by citing that the company is working to make some changes on N8 to ensure a great user experience.
On Wednesday, Sep 29, 2010 Nokia announced that it had started the shipping of N8. It was the first smartphone which runs on Symbian@3, the latest version of Symbian's smartphone operating system. N8 will be powered with 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM and 64 GB internal memory.
N8 will have an 12 megapixel camera with HD video recording, 5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a scratch resistant Gorilla glass display and 3D Graphics HW accelerator. The 3G ready smartphone's memory can be expanded upto 32 GB using micro SD memory cards. It is expected that N8 will cost around 35,000 in India.
