Trinamool-run panchayats most corrupt: WB CM

Kolkata, Sep 29: West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee criticised Trinamool Congress by stating that all Trinamul Congress-run panchayats in the state are the most corrupt.

While attending a party rally on Sep 28, Bhattacharjee also urged all panchayat members to support the state in demolishing the corruption from its very root.

"The level of corruption in these panchayats is the highest in the state and I urge all panchayat workers to protest against corruption, right from the grassroots level," stated Bhattacharjee.

However, he also claimed, "things are changing. People have turned against the disruption of normal life and attack on the panchayat system."

His statement also informed, "Panchayat offices are opening and work is gradually being resumed in these areas of Maoists dominated region."
