Apple extends fight against Nokia, files new case

Helsinki, Sep 29: The innovative giant Apple Inc has filed a legal suit in British court against Nokia, world's largest mobile phone manufacturer.

"We are investigating the claims, which appear to be based on nine implementation patents already in suit between the two companies in the United States," said Nokia spokesman Mark Durrant.

This is the first time both companies extending their leagal wars outside United States. Earlier in Oct 2009, Nokia sued against Apple claiming that the Apple was getting a free ride on technologies like sending email or downloading applications, which were patented by Nokia.

It is expected that, in 2011 the US trade body ITC will decide some of the claims between the two companies.
