Bihar polls: EC issues notification for 2nd phase

In the second phase due Oct 24, polls will be held in 45 assembly constituencies.
"The last date for filing nominations is Oct 6 and one can withdraw one"s name until Oct 9. The filing of nomination papers by candidates starts from Sep 29," said Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Anshumali.
Scrutiny of the papers will take place on Oct 7.
Of the 45 constituencies, polling will be held in Naxal-infested constituencies of Minapur, Paroo and Sahebganj in Muzaffarpur district between 7 am and 3 pm.
Where as voting will be taken up for the rest of the constituencies in the second phase between 7 am and 5 pm.
Bihar Assembly elections will be held in six phases. In the first phase due on Oct 21, polls will be held in 47 of 243 Assembly constituencies.
