Austria: Sikh gets life sentence in murder case

Austria flag
Vienna, Sep 28: A radical Sikh man was sentenced to life imprisonment on Tuesday, Sep 28 in Vienna for having murdered an Indian sect leader in 2009, the Austrian sources said.

After hours of deliberations, the jury found four other Indian origins involved in the crime case that took place in a temple of the Dera Sach Khand in Austria's capital.

However, these defendants denied the charges and made clear during the trial that they disapproved the crime as they venerate religious leaders in addition to Sikh holy scripture.
