No territorial issue exists with China: Japan

Tokyo, Sep 28: Japan Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara reiterated on Tuesday Sep 28 that "no territorial issue exists" over an island chain at the centre of a bitter row with China.

He supported his government by saying that the arrest of a Chinese fishing boat captain that sparked the current row between the two nations was appropriate.

Whereas the act was no accepted by the Chinese government even after he was freed. The issue mounted up to bigger argument claiming that the island belong to China.

Industrial sources say China has halted crucial area earth mineral exports to Japan, but Beijing has denied the report.
