Islamabad, Sept 27 (ANI): While criticising the Pakistani government for forgetting the Kashmiris, Syed Munawwar Hasan, head of Jamaat-e-Islami, has said that the rulers were preparing for fresh talks with India only to sabotage the Kashmiris freedom movement.

According to the News, Hasan alleged the meeting between Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Indian counterpart would be a mock show because Qureshi's role would precisely be pro-Indian and there would be no one to represent Pakistan.

Addressing a rally in support of the Kashmir struggle here on Sunday, he said that the Kashmiris' struggle was at its peak and curfew had been clamped all over the valley for months and added that the Indian delegation for the All Parties Conference had to return disappointed as the Kashmiris demanded right of self-determination. However, the rulers in Islamabad were keeping a criminal silence.

While criticising Qureshi, he said that the Indian Foreign Minister, SM Krishna did talk about Atoot Ang, and asked: Would Shah Mehmud Qureshi inform the nation what had been his role in this regard?

He also criticised Pervez Musharraf for causing a split in the Hurriat Conference to please New Delhi. He further called Musharraf a 'traitor', who was "loyal to the US and India".

Hasan said that Dr Aafia Siddiqui had been convicted under a conspiracy hatched by the government and with their connivance.

However, the JI would continue its struggle for her release, he claimed. (ANI)
