14-year-old boy commits suicide in Pune

Pune, Sep 25: A 14-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his residence in Pimple Nilakh on Friday, Sep 24.

The Sangvi police have identified the deceased as Padmesh Mohan Jadhav and no suicide note has been found.

The police inspector said, it was the housemaid who saw him hanging from the ceiling and immediately alerted the neighbours, who informed his parents about the incident.

He added, "Padmesh was the only child of his parents and an average student. On the Ganesh immersion, he had gone in the procession for playing drums. The reason behind the suicide is still not known."
