Mum: Minister's son accused of murder attempt

Mumbai, Sep 24: A Congress party worker accused Maharashtra minister's son of attempt to murder on Sep 23.

Maharashtra Revenue Minister, Narayan Rane's son, Nitesh Rane was accused of firing at the Congress worker, Chintu Shaik.

Shaikh filed a attempt to murder case against Rane and claimed that Rane ordered his goons to attack him when he went to meet him in his office in Khar.

Shaikh also charged that Rane took out a revolver and fired at least one round when the former tried to run away.

He also informed police that he succeeded to get away from that place by his car.

According the police sources, Shaikh himself drove to the Hiranandani Hospital in Powai east for treatment.

However, Nitesh claimed that he is innocent and he has been framed in the whole incident by some of his enemies.
