Threat to iPad, Dell to launch 7-inch tablet PC

New York, Sep 23: The world famous brand for laptops and desktop computers, Dell Inc, has revealed the launch of a new 7 inch Android powered tablet PC.

Dell CEO Michael Dell told that the company is working to launch the new tablet PC but refused to reveal anything more about the device or the plans for an official launch.

Earlier in August 2010, Dell launched the tablet PC Streak which had a 5-inch touch-screen, Google Android OS and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. It also had 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, built-in Wi-Fi capability and 3G connectivity. The microSD memory can be expandable up to 32GB.
