RIM plans to launch tablet BlackPad on Sep 27
The Wall Street Journal has reported that RIM is planning to unveil the tablet PC BlackPad at a developer"s conference in San Francisco on Monday, Sep 27. The BlackPad is expected to have a brand new operating system, built by QNX Software Systems, which RIM had acquired earlier in 2010. The BlackPad will have seven inch touchscreen with a built in camera.
Tablet market was created by Apple Inc with the successful launch of the iPad in Apr 2010. Later companies like Dell, Samsung, Cisco, lenove etc also launched different types of tablets. Still iPad controls the market with more than 60 percent of the sales.
