Sensex closes below 32 month high 20,000 mark

BSE Sensex closed at 19,941.72, down 59.83 points or 0.30 percent and NSE Nifty fell 0.30 percent or 18.05 points to 5991.
However, the premium on Nifty futures trimmed down; the Nifty Sep 2010 futures ended at 2.2 points premium and Oct 2010 futures at 17 points premium, as per provisional data.
Maruti Suzuki, ABB, HDFC, SBI were among the top gainers with 3.59 percent, 1.87 percent, 1.68 percent, 1.61 percent up respectively.
Jaiprakash Asso, Cairn India, Larsen and Reliance Comm were among the top losers with 3.04 percent, 2.38 percent, 2.37 percent, 2.13 percent down respectively.

Nifty slips to 5952, SBI, Maruti Suzuki, ITC up
The NSE Nifty slipped further and touched 5950 level.
However, consistent buying in SBI, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, Idea, SAIL, ONGC and Tata Steel limited losses to some extent.
At 2:21 pm, the Sensex was trading at 19827, down 174 points and the Nifty was at 5952, down 56 points. However, the Nifty Sep 2010 futures were trading at 8 points premium and Oct 2010 futures at 20 points premium.
Jaiprakash Associates, Cairn India and Reliance Communications were among the top losers as they were trading at Rs 119.60, Rs 332.60 and Rs 168.95 down respectively.

Sensex slips to 19941, Infosys, TCS under pressure
Despite a good start with a positive note, BSE Sensex was trading marginally lower amid volatility on Sep 22.
Shares of realty, telecom, cement, private financial, capital goods and select power along with Infosys, TCS, Reliance Industries and Tata Motors was creating pressure on markets.
At 11:47 am, the Sensex was trading at 19941, down 60 points and the Nifty was at 5986, down 23 points. However, the Nifty Sep 2010 futures were trading at 12 points premium and Oct 2010 futures at 27 points premium.
Mahindra Satyam, Tata Steel, SBI, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were among the most active shares on exchanges.
L&T, Cairn India, TCS were among the top losers, who were trading at Rs 1,994.75, Rs 336.20 and Rs 940.95 down respectively.

Nifty starts with a positive note, FMCG up
After touching the 20,000 mark on Sep 21, BSE Sensex started with a positive note on Wednesday, Sep 22.
FMCG and select financial companies' shares gained.
At 09:47 am, the Sensex was trading at 20088, up 84 points and the Nifty was at 6025, up 17 points. The CNX Midcap rose 35 points to 9196. About 558 shares advanced while 213 shares declined on NSE.
Suzlon Energy, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, Maruti, HUL, HDFC, PNB, Axis Bank, ONGC and ITC, who among the frontlinres, were among the buyers' radar.
However, Infosys, TCS, Hero Honda, ICICI Bank and NTPC were witnessing selling pressure.
