TN: Sri Lanka Navy attacks 7 fishermen

Rameswaram, Sep 21: Seven Indian fishermen were attacked and injured by Sri Lankan naval personnel while fishing between Dhanushkodi and Katchativu island on Tuesday, Sep 21.

We were fishing in Indian waters when they attacked us, the fishermen told reporters.

Those injured were identified as Keba, Dominique, Kumar, Sahayaraj, Chinnathambi, Asthus and Kumaran.

Later the victimes were immediately taken to Ramanathapuram government hospital.
