Meet Nokia C6, affordable smartphone for India

When any Indian thinks about buying a new phone, the first preference comes to their mind is the Nokia phones. Nokia always tries to keep up with the Indian's expectations. Nokia launched different basic affordable models with exciting features like dual SIM and 5 megapixel camera. The models like Nokia C1, X2, 5250, C3 etc are the examples for low cost mobiles with high-end features.
At the same time Nokia always look forward to the future. The Finnish company had realized the high competition in the fast growing world wide mobile phone market and announced the launch of it's high-tech smartphones, Nokia E7, C7 and C6 during the Nokia World 2010 Event in London.
The Nokia C6-01 is powered with Symbian@3 OS and has two cameras, an 8 megapixel one on the back and a secondary camera on the front for video calling. The 3G ready Nokia C6-01 has a 3.2 inch AMOLED, capacitive touch, polarized, widescreen (640x360 pixels) display.
This smartphone has an internal memory of 340 MB and can be expanded upto 32 GB using micro SD memory cards. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, Micro-USB port, HSDPA cat 9 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA cat 5 2.0 Mbps, 3.5 mm Nokia AV connector and A-GPS. It also supports GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, and WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 networks, as well as with WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g/n.
The users can download latest applications and games from Nokia Ovi Store using Nokia C6. It also offers social networking sites on the home screen via the Social clients like Facebook and Twitter. It provides access to mail service like Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail etc.
Nokia C6-01 also features FM stereo radio, Nokia ClearBlack display with improved outdoor visibility, WebTV, Music player and popular mobile games. Nokia claims that the 1050 mAh battery will provide 11 hours of talk time and 17 days of standby time on GSM networks and 4-5 hours talk time and 5-15 days on 3G networks.
The new Nokia C6-01 is priced around Rs 15,600 and is expected to reach Indian market by the end of 2010.
