Honour Killing: Man kills youth in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 19: Once again the capital has witnessed a honour killing tragedy. A father with his young son murdered a youth for allegedly having love relationship with his daughter.

40-year-old Azad with his 19-year-old Monu were arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday, Sep 16 for murdering 23-year-old Mahender Singh.

On Tuesday, Sep 14, police discovered Mahender's body, wrapped in a plastic bag, floating in a drain at Haiderpur water treatment plant.

A voter card, a mobile phone and some other documents were found from the body, with the help of which Mahender's identity was ascertained.

The police informed, "The two accused broke down during interrogation and accepted killing Mahender because they had found him one night in Azad's daughter's bedroom."

The duo explained how they killed Mahender to police. Police also recovered the hammer, the instrument used in the crime.
