Cloudburst in Uttarakhand, 30 killed in heavy rain

Almora, Sep 19: After Leh, now cloudburst hit Uttarakhand and twelve houses have been washed away in Bari village.

Eighteen people have died in landslides in Almora's Devli village in Uttarakhand and more than 30 people have been killed due to heavy rain.

Over 300 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours on Sep 19.

Kosi began to swell after a sudden cloud burst in Almora.

From one lakh 15 thousand cusecs early morning on Saturday, Sep 18, the water level rose to one and a half lakh cusecs by evening.
