6 men arrested in London during Pope's visit

London, Sep 18: Six suspected Al Qaeda were arrested by London police on Friday, Sep 17 while Pope Benedict was in London for his state visit.

Officers were searching a business in central London but had not uncovered any dangerous materials from them.

"Following today's arrests the policing arrangements for the Papal visit were reviewed and we are satisfied that our current policing plan remains appropriate," they said.

The London police has assured safety for the religious leader on his two day visit to Britain.
