Pak: 12 killed in US drone attacks

Islamabad, Sep 15: Twelve banned militants were killed on Wednesday, Sep 15 in drone attacks carried out by the US soldiers, a media report said.

The attacks in the wee hours targeted the Haqqani terror network located on the outskirts of Miranshah town in the troubled North Waziristan tribal region.

“US drones fired seven missiles at two militant compounds, killing at least twelve militants," a senior security official said.

Reports further said that militants were in close link with the Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
