Nifty closes on a positive note

The Sensex was up 146.61 points or 0.76 percent at 19354.94, and the Nifty was up 35.80 points or 0.62 percent at 5795.80. About 1023 shares advanced, 2062 shares declined, and 306 shares remain unchanged.
Kotak Mahindra, Wipro, Jaiprakash Asso, Rel Capital were among the top gainers with 4.61 pc, 3.65 pc, 3.06 pc, 3.03 pc up respectively.
Hindalco, ACC, Ambuja Cements, GAIL were among the top losers with 2.41 pc, 2.06 pc, 1.90 pc, 1.25 pc down respectively.

Nifty trades higher; auto, banks up
At 1: 30 pm, the NSE Nifty maintained positive trading at around 5800.
The gains were seen in Auto, IT stocks, capital goods, Infosys, bharati Airtel, TCS and HDFC Banks.
The Sensex was up 171.70 points at 19380.03, and the Nifty was up 49.35 points at 5809.35.
While the markets breadth was negative, about 1007 shares advanced, 2053 shares declined, and 330 shares were unchanged.
The top gainers on the Sensex were Tata motors and HDFC Banks.

Sensex gains 130 pts; India VIX up 6pc
At 11: 49 am, the benchmark index lost to 50 points due to high volatile in the markets. Whereas the India VIX surged to six percent.
The Sensex was up 129.49 points at 19337.82, and the Nifty was up 30.30 points at 5790.30. Buying was seen in auto, IT and Telecom stocks.
Top gainers on the Nifty were Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank up 2-4pc. The top losers were Hindalco, Ambuja Cements and ACC.
Both in midcap and smallcap were trading moderate with not much of loss.

Nifty opens on +ve note; tech up
The benchmark Nifty started the day on positive note gaining for 6th consecutive day.
At 9:01 am, the Nifty was trading at 5773, up 14 points and the Sensex was at 19272, up 63 points. The CNX Midcap rose 25 points to 9209 and BSE Smallcap Index gained 47 points at 10315.
The frontliners were Infosys, Suzlon Energy, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sterlite Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel Maruti, Hero Honda, PNB, ICICI Bank, Wipro, and DLF
However, Ambuja Cements, ACC, HUL, Reliance Industries, SBI and ITC were down.
Asian markets were quiet in trade. Shanghai, Hang Seng and Taiwan Weighted were just in positive note while Nikkei, Straits Times and Kospi in negative note.
