Maha Police Academy was on LeT radar: ATS

Mumbai, Sep 14: LeT planned a terror attack in Maharashtra Police Academy and in Nashik similar to that of Lahore Police Academy attack, informed the two arrested militants related to Pune German Bakery blast case.

Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) official stated that LeT also had planned to attack the police commissioner-ate and the Deolali Military Camp in Nashik.

Taking a new identity, Bilal, the held terrorist, was staying in Nashik from May, 2010 and was planning a massive terror attack in the city.

"The planning was at an advance stage as Bilal had already carried out a recce of these places. Baig was getting the whole planning organised, and was to prepare a team that could execute the attacks," ATS official informed.

He also added, "We have also recovered photographs of these places from the duo"s possession and seized 700 gram of RDX from Bilal in Nashik and 1.2kg from Baig at a cyber cafe."
