Google to buy Isreali firm Quicksee: Report

Tel Aviv, Sep 13: Google Inc is reportedly set to buy Quicksee, an Israeli firm which has developed a software that enables users to turn videos into interactive virtual tours.

Financial newspaper TheMarker reported on Monday, Sep 13, that the internet behemoth will be buying Quicksee for about $10 million.

The newspaper noted that Quicksee's technology is considered as the missing link in Google's Street View service, used by both Google Maps and Google Earth.

However, officials at Quicksee declined to comment on the report.
