US pastor Jones promises not to burn Quran ever

New York, Sep 12: Taking a complete U-turn, the US pastor, who raised the huge controversy through out the world to burn Quran on 9/11 anniversary, vowed that he will not burn it again.

Pastor Terry Jones of Florida claimed, "We will definitely not burn the Quran, no. Not today, not ever."

He also promised that if any mosque or Islamic centre is built near the ground zero, they will not approach to take such extreme steps by burning Quran and they won't hurt any religion.

"Even though we have not burnt one Quran, we have gotten over 100 death threats," said the pastor.

"We feel that God is telling us to stop, and we also hope that, maybe that will open up the door to maybe (we will) be able to talk to the imam," he added.
