US drone kills Pakistani militants

Islamabad, Sep 12: Five militants were killed as one US drone fired two missiles in northwest Pakistan's volatile North Waziristan tribal region on Sunday, Sep 12.

A house, being used by militants in Datta Khel area near Miranshah, was targeted by the US drone, official informed.

Local residents pulled bodies of the five militants from the debris.

Several drones were seen hovering over the area after the attack.

US drone strikes have been stepped up in the past few weeks following a relative lull during the period when Pakistan was devastated by unprecedented floods.
