US wants 'indispensable partnership' with India

"India, the world's largest democracy, has a very large convergence of fundamental values and we are laying the foundation for an indispensable partnership," said Clinton.
Just before US President, Barack Obama's visit to India in Nov 2010, Clinton hoped that his visit would take the relationship between the two countries to the next level.
Clinton stated, "President Obama will use his visit in Nov to take our relationship to the next level."
Supporting Clinton, state department spokesperson, PJ Crowley also said, "We recognize that India is an anchor of stability in a critical part of the world."
He also added, "India will have to play a significant role in the global action to combat climate change."
