PM to evaluate CWG 2010 projects on Sep 10

New Delhi, Sep 9: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will review the preparations for the Commonwealth Games at a high-level meeting on Friday Sep 10.

Concerned by the delays, this will be the second time that Singh would be reviewing the preparations for the Oct event for which he had asked the authorities to "redouble their efforts" to quickly complete the works as visitors are expecting a "flawless" opening to the Commonwealth Games.

Admitting that there had been lapses and delays in works for the games Singh had said that instead of finding fault at this stage, everyone must work together so that "we are proud" of hosting the event.
