Verdict in Pratibha murder case on Sep 8

Bangalore, Sep 8: Five years after BPO employee Pratibha Srikanthmurthy was raped and murdered by the cab driver, a judgement day has come on Wednesday, Sep 8.

The incident had shook the entire BPO industry in the country, putting the focus on the security of employees.

According to CNN-IBN the deceased single mother, Gowramma has been fighting a lone battle since her daughter was killed in Dec 2005. She's attended every court hearing, sat through lawyers' arguments and police questioning, and waited for just one thing, a death penalty for the culprit Shiva Kumar.

She says, “I have everything, but I have nothing… I'm staying alone here… it's very difficult to live without my daughter. I loved her so much… everyday, every night I'm crying… I don't sleep at all."

“As a mother I'm fighting. She's my daughter. I have to get justice for her soul," she added.
