Washington, Sep 8: Just after a day that former HP CEO, Mark Hurd has taken over the charge as the chief of Oracle, HP filed case against him on Wednesday, Sep 8 for joining the new company.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) accused Hurd for allegedly violating the company's agreement to protect HP's confidential information by taking the new job in HP rival and partner company, Oracle.

"In his new positions, Hurd will be in a situation in which he cannot perform his duties for Oracle without necessarily using and

disclosing HP"s trade secrets and confidential information to others," stated HP.

Neither Hurd nor his representatives made any comment on the issue.

However, Oracle official criticized its rival company by stating, "By filing this vindictive lawsuit against Oracle and Mark Hurd, the HP board is acting with utter disregard for that partnership, our joint customers, and their own shareholders and employees."
