Diesel tank bursts in collision, 9 dead in TN

Chennai, Sep 8: The collision between a bus and a lorry left nine persons dead and 29 others injured in Thiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, Sep 8.

Police sources informed that after the face to face accident, the diesel tank of the state-owned bus burst and both the vehicles caught fire.

The mishap occured when the bus was returning from Vellore to Cuddalore.

Both the drivers of the two vehicle were killed and the injured persons have been taken to government and private hospitals in Tiruvannamalai, Vellore and Puducherry.

Hospital officials informed that few injured with some children are in critical situation.
