JMM-BJP likely to form government in Jharkhand
"At around 10 am, the party MLAs are likely to meet at the party office to explore any possibility of government formation. There is also a possibility of election of the legislative party leader," senior state BJP leader and former minister Baijnath Ram told the media late on Monday, Sep 6.
This development comes three months after the state went under President's rule.
Earlier MM-LP leader Hemant Soren said JMM was "open to any party and will support if it were interested in forming the government."
"The state is reeling under severe drought and needs a government represented by the people. JMM MLAs feel that the party should be open in reaching out to like-minded parties interested in taking the lead in formation of a new government," JMM-LP leader Hemant Soren said on Sep 5.
