I pray for abducted policemen: Rahul Gandhi

Samastipur, Sep 4: Amid the general public dissatisfaction over the Centre and state government's apparent in-action in the Bihar hostage crisis, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Saturday, Sep 4 said that he prayed for policemen abducted by Maoists.

"I pray for the policemen taken hostage by the Maoists from Lakhisarai... I also pray for the one who was killed (by the Maoists)," Gandhi told a rally here.

Assistant sub-inspector Lucas Tete, one among the four policemen abducted on Sunday, Aug 29 has been killed by the rebels. Tete's body was recovered on Friday, Sep 3 in Lakhisarai district.

In a mesage on Saturday, Sep 4, Maoists claimed that the three other hostages were safe.
