Arm chopping case: Kerala lecturer sacked
The lecture, T J Joseph, was attacked by PFI activists on Jul 4 for preparing a Malayalam question paper with alleged derogatory references to Prophet Mohammed.
Now, the management of the college he worked for has removed him from service, effective from Sep 1 on the grounds of hurting religious sentiments of a community.
The college had earlier issued a show cause notice to Mr Joseph questioning why he should not be sacked for hurting religious feelings.
The decision by the college to sack the lecture has gone to show that Joseph's reply to the show cause notice was not convincing enough for the educational institute.
